The people of Brighton, MA have lived long enough with this driver’s eye-soar that is NO TURN ON RED in front of the Police Department at the corner of Washington St. and Cambridge St. When driving down Washington St. from Comm. Avenue, you have two choices; Left to Brighton Center and Right toward Storrow Drive and the Pike. Please, take down the useless sign, which drivers don’t pay attention to anyway and please put the empty Police Cruiser you have parked out front in the parking lot. You aren’t fooling anyone. We all know that there is nobody in the car. You’ve been had.
I’ve lived here for 2 years. sign is pointless
The sign is unnecessary! I never pay attention to it. There is so much traffic waiting for that light and no one coming. Just go. I have lived here 4 years and I have never seen a cop in front of the police station or anyone being pulled over b/c of turning right on a red there.
JUST TURN ON RED!
I sat at a “no right on red” sign and a cop beeped at me to go. I have never understoos why the sign has a point at any intersection.
That’s insane! I barely listen to those anyway. Anyone can see when there is nobody coming, take a friggan right. It isn’t brain surgery. It’s just silly! Maybe that is one of the reasons why Massachusetts was voted on the top three of worst drivers in the U.S.??? Oh, well! I say that we are doing it right and they are all wrong.
